Teaching   

August 2006-May 2007: Adjunct Instructor of Guitar, University of Indianapolis,

Indianapolis, IN. Duties include instruction of undergraduate guitar majors as well as directing the University of Indianapolis Guitar Ensemble.

August 2004-July 2007: Trustee Lecturer at Indiana University-Purdue University at

Indianapolis, Indianapolis, IN. Full-time contracted position; responsibilities include directing IUPUI Guitar Ensemble, teaching group classes and private lessons, and teaching other courses as needed, included the history of rock, and music of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Coordinate several guitar-related performances per semester, including full-length solo student recitals, student ensemble recitals, and student chamber music recitals, as well as instructor’s own chamber and solo performances. Responsibilities also include coordination of guitar program as a whole, including instructional materials and creation of course packets.

August 2004-July 2007: Instructor, IUPUI Music Academy. Responsibilities include

teaching summer guitar and general music camps, teaching one-day “instant guitar” workshops, and teaching private lessons and group classes. Ages of students range from young children (age 6-7) to adults.

March 2004-December 2004: Instructor of Guitar, Ivy Tech in Logodee, Indiana.

Responsibilities included teaching group, beginner, and intermediate guitar classes

September 2003-August 2004: Instructor, Pre-College Program, Indiana University,

            Bloomington, IN. Responsibilities included teaching private lessons and group

            classes, as well as coordinating student recitals.

September 2003-August 2004: Instructor of Guitar, Ivy Tech, Bloomington, IN.

Extensive classroom teaching of beginner, intermediate, and advanced guitar

students, as well as music fundamentals.

February 2003-August 2004: Instructor of Guitar, Bedford Learning Center in

Bedford, IN. Taught group guitar classes for adult beginners.
